The Wanderer

In a parallel universe, beings can travel through space with ease and it is seen as normal, everyday transportation. Our character is a young man of around 30 years old. He is traveling through the constellation Hyades after deciding to explore the universe in search of a new home for himself, to find a sense of belonging. His journey comes to a halt when he experiences strange energies coming from a sector of the universe that has never been explored. The single planet in this constellation has moons that are mystifying and their beauty lures the him into its gravitational fields. A lone star shines bright with an intense blue light. Could this be the fabled planet he had heard about only in horror stories and myths on his home planet?

He arrives on the planet by landing in one of its many oceans. He soon realizes that sections of the sky are actually flowing with water, which correlates directly with the strange cosmic energies, many moons and intense gravitational waves. What is this place? Who dwells upon these strange lands? He wanders and begins to see what can be described as cave drawings etched into the mountain sides that depict a giant creature wreaking havoc on the land while rows upon rows of beings bow and praise the giant. Upon finding a group of inhabitants, he reluctantly approaches them.

The Fabled Twin Suns

He begins to communicate with the inhabitants, who inform him that he is now a part of "Carcosa" and that they will never truly leave this cursed place. Upon further discussion with them, they begin to notice extremely strange and evil behavior from members of what appears to be a ritualistic cult. These people have black, cloudy eyes and pale skin. They proclaim that their sun has a twin, a blackened star that creates dark energies and allows creatures from beneath the surface to rise. He suspects that these inhabitants are simply crazy, and that their beliefs are surely just. There is talk of an unseen king that rules all, but is unseen until the black star rises. The energy from the twin sun allows a section of Carcosa to open up like a portal to Hell, allowing the King to roam free.

The fabled twin sun begins to rise, bringing about destruction on the planet. The inhabitants become enraged, causing mass carnage, destruction and hysteria. He desperately tries to escape the clutches of the inhabitants by fleeing the planet. However it is revealed that the strange cosmic energy coming from its many moons prevents anyone from leaving Carcosa once they have arrived. Upon a forced return to Carcosa, the character's ship goes through the cloud oceans, which flood the engines with a black liquid and rendering them useless, ensuring that he has no means of escape.

A sinister rumble signifies a change in the tides of the cloud waves. A feeling of dread falls over our character. The inhabitants of Carcosa know what, or who, is about to arrive: The Yellow King. As the twin sun shines it's blackened light upon Carcosa, the King rises up through Lake Demhe and lets his presence be known. As our character attempts to flee, the inhabitants fall to their knees, chanting and praising their dark lord's return.

Carcosa, My Eternity
06:46
|
|||
The true nature of the inhabitants has been seen and all hell has broken loose. Our character is tortured for going against the King. The King forces our character to endure visions of his loved ones being savagely mutilated at the hands of the King on an endless loop. Begging for death, the King decides to torture his soul by damning him to an eternity in Carcosa. Once the King makes his decision, our character begins to feel a pain that can only be described as being worse than death. He cries out in horror as his body begins to contort. His eyes begin to turn black, his skin a pale grey.
What seems like an eternity has passed as our character wanders the lands of Carcosa as a mindless follower of the King and his cult. Overhead, a ship is seen passing through the cloud waves. It is then realized that each of the inhabitants of Carcosa were once like the main character, explorers of the multiverse who were lured in and consumed by pure evil. Damned to this hell, forced to serve. Destined to rot, doomed to exist.
